Oxia Live @ Soundglasses Festival [Castellon Spain] 21.07.2008

Who’s Oxia? I’ve heard about him for the first time a couple of months ago when he released an amazing track called Domino. Check it out the track here.

But this is not a blog about tracks releases, is about live sets, so lets talk about the set. This is a 2 hour set, the first one I’ve ever heard from Oxia and enjoyed it very much. Definitely deserves a place here in our blog. The set was record in a party in Spain, called Soundglasses festival. What a great name for a party!!!

Monika Kruse Live @ Big City Beats 13.07.2008

In the last few days I've been listening to many live sets, several hours per day, struggling to find the next one to share with you, but it hasn't been an easy task.

This morning I decided to give a try to this Monika Kruse live set and I was really surprise how I quickly started jumping in my work chair in a very good mood.

Monika Kruse is an old school German dj, like many other djs, she also moved from techno to minimal. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Umek Live @ Shine [Belfast] 07.06.2008

Umek is a Slovenian Dj and one of the best techno djs in the world. In the last couple of years he has being changing his style to a more minimal techno which I am thankful, since I've been listening to a lot of minimal lately. It's always nice to have a dj like Umek playing my current favourite kind of electronic music. As usual, I've seen Umek live @ Discoteca Pessidónio, Figueira da Foz - Portugal and I keep very good memories from that night.

Pan-Pot live @ TECHNOlogy Club Suite [Boston] 25.03.2008

Pan-Pot is a German duo completely unknown to me.

I really like when I'm browsing my various websites looking for sets to download, I see some unknown name, give it a try and it comes something like Pan-Pot. Exactly the kind of minimal that I like. Excellent choice of records, very well mixed and full of energy.

I also found they belong to the same label as Anja Schneider, one of our first posts here at Super Star Djs. Check their MySpace for more info, tour dates, etc.

Miss Kittin - Live @ Lowlands 2008 [Holland] 16.08.2008

I've never been a big fan of Miss Kittin. She has played in Dublin a couple of times since I moved here and I never went to see her, although the kind of electro she has been playing has changed a lot and is becoming more and more my cup of tea. I hope she comes back to Dublin anytime soon.

Miss kittin likes to sing on her sets and I simply love it when Dj's do that.

I remember one time a few years ago in Locomia Club - Albufeira was a night with Green Velvet and Dave Clarke. At that time Dave Clarke was my favourite Techno Dj, I was following him everywhere in Portugal. So, Green Velvet plays and then comes Dave Clarke for a 2 hour set. When it's almost finished, was around 8 Am or something, Green Velvet comes back to the ground gets the mic and stars to sing while Dave Clarke was still playing. Was a great fun that night, one of those nights that I will never forget, with a great atmosphere that you could only find in one place, Locomia Club. Best club ever in Portugal. Too bad the money talked higher and they sold it to an idiot who transformed that in a hotel plus a bitch fancy club. Anyway, I believe I have this set somewhere lost on my hard drives at home. I promise I will try to find it and if I do I will and post it here for you...

Ladies and gentlemans, the one and only... CARL COX.

For me the best DJ of all times. I've seen him live a bunch of times, in Portugal, Spain and Ireland. There isn't words good enough to describe the emotions and feelings that this man brings to a dance floor.

A set like these is a must have on your iPod. Download it, show to your friends, parents, teachers, sons and daughters. But most important, put it louder and show it to your neighbours. It's almost 2 hours of techno music on its best.

I've seen her live this year at Spy - Dublin and was really really good.
